The European Defence Fund (EDF) is the European Commission's flagship programme for supporting collaborative defence research and development, reducing fragmentation and fostering an innovative and competitive defence industrial base. The initiative complements and amplifies the work conducted in Member States and promotes cooperation among companies and research actors of all sizes in the EU specialising in research and development of state-of-the-art and interoperable defence technology and equipment.
