The Call aims to reduce the EU's research and innovation gap by supporting twinning and knowledge exchange activities between institutions in Widening countries and leading institutions in other Member States and Associated Countries.
The 'Widening Participation and Strengthening the European Research Area' part of Horizon Europe is a cross-cutting initiative relevant to all three pillars of Horizon Europe. The Widening Participation strand aims to foster a more inclusive approach within the EU's research and innovation system, in which all can participate and all can benefit.
