Grant funding for basic science research, operational research, mathematical modelling projects, epidemiological studies and clinical studies that will contribute significantly to polio eradication.
The Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI) is a public-private partnership led by national governments to eradicate polio worldwide. The initiative's partners are the World Health Organization (WHO), Rotary International, US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Gavi, the vaccine alliance.
