National funding call supports transdisciplinary research projects dedicated to investigating the interplay between social and technological challenges arising during the energy transition.
As part of the German government’s Energy Research Programme, Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK - Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection) has issued a new call with a focus on the energy transition. It acknowledges the diverse set of processes involved in the necessary transition from a carbon-based economy to a sustainable, zero-emission economy. These include not only technological and organisational processes but also changes in social perception and collective action.
