New programme offers three-year grants for collaborative research and development projects dedicated to advances in the application of photonics that bring together partners from science and industry.
On the basis of the German government’s research programme for Quantum Systems, this new funding initiative by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF - Federal Ministry for Education and Research) is designed to support the transfer of innovative research results in the field of photonics. It thus aims to contribute to the innovative potential and competitive position of German businesses with a particular focus on challenges in the areas of health, digitisation and sustainability.
