21-10-2022 - BMAS Launches New Funding Programme to Support Research and Teaching on Health in the Working World

Up to €1.5 million are available for the establishment of research projects, junior research groups and endowed professorships dedicated to research on health in the workplace.

The new funding programme ‘Research and Teaching on Health in the Working World’ (Forschung und Lehre zur Gesundheit in der Arbeitswelt - FOGA) by Bundesministerium für Arbeit und Soziales (BMAS - German Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs) is designed to promote the capacity and quality of research on health-related questions in the context of work environments in Germany. It is intended to generate scientific insights as well as socially and politically significant knowledge that may improve health in the working world. In addition, it should contribute to challenges in the humane design of working environments which were revealed by the coronavirus pandemic.
