A total of 408 leading researchers will receive funding of up to €2.5 million each to help them conduct pioneering research.
The European Research Council (ERC) has announced the results of the latest round of its Starting Grants, which help enable early career researchers (ECRs) who have two to seven years' experience after their PhDs to conduct frontier research in any field in EU Member States and Associated Countries. Awards are issued based on scientific merit, judged according to the ground breaking nature, ambition and feasibility of applicants' proposals.
