The 2023 edition of the António Champalimaud Vision Award has been launched to recognise significant contributions to the alleviation of vision problems from researchers around the world.
The Champalimaud Foundation (Fundação Champalimaud) is a private biomedical research foundation situated in Lisbon, Portugal. The Foundation pursues research in the fields of neuroscience and cancer and runs an outreach programme to fight blindness. Research undertaken at the Foundation follows a translational methodology, which establishes a direct link and interdependency between basic research and clinical activity.
