Awards to recognise and reward NERC-funded researchers, as individuals or teams, whose work has had substantial impact on society, the economy and the environment.
Set up in 2014 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), the Impact Awards champion the impact of research from the NERC-funded environmental science community on people's everyday lives, including society, the economy and the environment. The competition has been designed to recognise and celebrate the wide range of people and roles in the environmental science research community who contribute to impactful research.
