Five awards of €100,000 are available to recognise outstanding contributions to Life and Environmental Sciences by female scientists.
The L’Oréal charitable foundation and the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) offer five co-funded 'For Women in Science (FWIS) International Awards', of €100,000 each, to recognise outstanding contributions to the advancement of science by female scientists. The awards alternate each year between the Life and Environmental Sciences and Physical/Computer/Engineering Sciences.
