EFEO has announced the second 2023 deadline for its Field Scholarships programme, enabling scholars worldwide with a working knowledge of French to conduct research at an EFEO centre in Asia on a topic relevant to the history and civilisations of Asia.
The École française d'Extrême-Orient (EFEO - French School of Asian Studies) is an associated college of Université Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL University) which was founded in 1900 and is dedicated to the study of Asian societies. Its mission is to conduct interdisciplinary research on the civilisations of Asia, extending from India to Japan. EFEO consists of a network of research centres in several Asian countries.
