This funding initiative supports well-established academics from outside of Germany to carry out long-term research stays at a university or other research institution within Germany.
Established by the government of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung (Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) supports foreign students and scholars during research visits to Germany. The aim of the foundation is to promote academic co-operation between scientists and scholars from Germany and abroad.
