15-01-2024 - RAEng 2024 Enterprise Fellowship Programme Open for Application
The Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellowship is a 12 month accelerator programme that supports entrepreneurial engineering researchers and students based in the UK who are seeking to establish or develop a start-up or spin out company based on an engineering technology or innovation.
The programme includes funding, training, mentoring and other support from the RAEng Enterprise Hub and targets commercialisation along three routes: recent graduates wishing to create a company; researchers based at a UK university seeking to create a spin-out company; and international final-year PhD students seeking to create a spin-out or startup in the UK.
Participants can receive up to £75,000 in funding, which includes up to £60,000 for salary/living expenses and £15,000 for additional business development support costs, and a package of training and mentoring to establish or further a business that develops an innovative product or service emerging from their past research, projects or ideas. Applicants must have appropriate intellectual property rights to use the innovation as envisaged.
Stage one applications for the 2024/25 programme should be submitted by 26 February 2024.
RAEng is also running online workshops on 16 January, 22 January and 31 January to give an overview of the programme and advise on the application process.
