09-02-2024 - BMBF Launches first Call for New Science and Higher Education Studies Funding Programme
The Science and Higher Education Studies Funding Programme was launched by Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF - Federal Ministry for Education and Research) in late 2023 as a tool to support the development of the research field in Germany. The programme is designed to establish an evidence base for current topics and challenges in science and higher education studies (Wissenschafts- und Hochschulforschung - WiHo), which can then support decision making and transformation processes for practice and policy development. It is also intended to strengthen the research area as a whole and offer greater flexibility for scholars working in this field.
