15-03-2024 - Basic Technologies for Fusion: New Programme Launched by BMBF
Within its ‘Fusion 2040 - Research on the Way to a Fusion Power Plant’ (Fusion 2040 - Forschung auf dem Weg zum Fusionskraftwerk) Framework Programme, and under the umbrella of the federal government's Energy Research Programme (Energieforschungsprogramm), this funding initiative of the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF - Federal Ministry for Education and Research) supports interdisciplinary projects that intend to research and develop essential key technologies necessary for the successful building of a fusion power plant and, on the other hand, to expand and supplement the test and measurement infrastructure that already exists in Germany.
