11-10-2024 - BMEL Launches New Call for Projects in Alternative Protein Production for Human Nutrition
Bundesministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft (BMEL) has launched the first call within its research funding framework programme 'Sustainable Production, Processing and Marketing of Agricultural Products: Research and Development Projects and Technology and Knowledge Transfer’. Under the headline 'Sustainable Production and Processing of Non-Leguminous Protein Plants and Mushrooms for Future Human Nutrition', the call supports knowledge transfer projects and information measures (including model and demonstration projects) in the field of alternative protein production for human nutrition. Projects should contribute to the transformation towards sustainable, high-performance, climate-adapted agricultural protein production and incorporate innovative approaches beyond animal husbandry and legume cultivation.
