The Chateaubriand Fellowships, operated by the French Embassy in the United States, provide PhD researchers from American universities to engage in research in France. Funding is available both for humanities and social sciences and for STEM and health subjects. Research visits may last from 4-9 months, beginning in the academic year immediately following application.
