29-10-2024 - Hochwacht Fellowship in Architectural History Opens for Applications
The Hochwacht Fellowship (Hochwacht-Stipendium) in Hochwacht Esslingen is offered by Stadt Esslingen am Neckar and Wüstenrot Stiftung to young scholars working on a project on architectural history. The aim is to provide fellows with space for undisturbed, concentrated research in the historical town of Esslingen am Neckar containing monuments from all architectural eras, as well as to promote publications that deal with aspects of urban and architectural history, cultural geography and history of southern Germany. The programme is open in terms of the project topic and historical era, but a thematic reference to the town of Esslingen is desirable. The fellow lives and works on their project in a live-in studio located in Hochwacht (watchtower), which is part of the Esslingen castle.
