16-12-2024 - New IMPT Call for Proposals on the Socioeconomics of the Environment
France's Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS - National Centre for Scientific Research) is a public scientific and technological establishment comprising various thematic institutes that carries out research to advance scientific knowledge as well as to generate social, cultural and economic progress. In partnership with the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, the Universities of Clermont Auvergne, Grenoble Alpes, Claude Bernard Lyon 1, Jean Monnet Saint-Étienne and Savoie Mont Blanc, the CNRS created the Institut des Mathématiques pour la Planète Terre (IMPT - Institute of Mathematics for Planet Earth) in 2021. IMPT is intended as an institute without boundaries that is capable of bringing together the mathematics community to address questions posed in other scientific fields, employing a necessarily multidisciplinary approach.
