The Pain Research Award (Förderpreis für Schmerzforschung) is presented by Deutsche Schmerzgesellschaft e.V. (German Society for the Study of Pain), Europe’s largest scientific and medical association in the field of pain. The award honours applied research and implemented basic research that has made a significant contribution to the interdisciplinary, practice-oriented therapy of acute and chronic pain. It is especially aimed at young scientists in the fields of medicine, psychology and the natural sciences.
