19-01-2025 - Gauss AI Compute Competition Seeks Germany's Best GenAI-Models
The Gauss AI Compute Competition is a joint initiative of Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (MKW NRW - Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia), Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst (STMWK - Bavaria State Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts), Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg (MWK BW - State Ministry of Baden-Wuerttemberg for Sciences, Research and Arts) and Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF - Federal Ministry for Education and Research). The competition supports individual and joint research projects that develop models of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) on the high-performance computer ‘Joint Undertaking Pioneer for Innovative and Transformative Exascale Research’ (JUPITER).
