29-01-2025 - BMDV's Seventh DigiTest Call Looking for Innovative Logistics and Infrastructure Solutions for Ports
The initiative Digital Test Sites in Ports (Digitale Testfelder in Häfe) by the Bundesministerium für Digitales und Verkehr (BMDV - Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport) is intended to promote the development of German ports into first-class high-tech sites, thus supporting and enabling economic development in a wide range of sectors. By promoting the transformation of ports into central data hubs, the programme is designed to contribute to the improved quality and efficiency of logistics processes and the reduction of costs through digitisation. It is also intended to increase transparency and controllability of logistics processes and improve the connection between different transport carriers. The development of infrastructures for the monitoring and administration of logistics processes in real time is also a declared aim of the programme.
