The Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR - National Research Agency) was first established in 2005 and is governed by the French Ministry of Research. It provides funding to public research organisations and universities, as well as to private companies, for both basic and applied research in all fields of science. The Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) is a Czech government agency that supports collaboration between publicly funded research organisations and the business sector. TA CR takes on the responsibility of organising and funding its own applied research and experimental development projects while supporting projects launched by other agencies.
