27-03-2025 - Holberg Prize Confirms 2025 Awardee, Submissions Remain Open for 2026 Prize

The Holberg Prize is an international award, established by the Norwegian Parliament in 2003. The stated objective of the prize is to increase awareness of the value of academic scholarship in the humanities, social sciences, law and theology. The prize is named after Ludvig Holberg, a Danish-Norwegian playwright and author who was prominent during the Enlightenment era in the Nordic countries. The prize is administered by the University of Bergen.
