The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) have announced an upcoming funding opportunity to deliver a strategic research programme that will catalyse the UK research and innovation community to use multi-disciplinary approaches to engineer next generation veterinary vaccine technology platforms. It will lead to forming a ‘plug and play’ modular design to enable rapid response and large-scale manufacturing associated with a smaller footprint, lower cost, and easier deployment.
